Response to Emma : Bernal Diaz de Castillo

 Emma, I completely agree with you, that when reading all of these different articles, it felt like I was reading on several different conquest times. I find it so entertaining to pick apart Cortes article, now that I have read Castillo's memoir. You can see how much detail Castillo puts into his account, trying to clarify the false or skewed statements made in Cortes's or Gomara's accounts. However, thank goodness for Castillo's details account, or else we would've all thought that St. James was the reason for Spanish victory.
